Spectrasonics has released another beast of a software platform for audiophiles like myself. The release is 9 DVD's strong and from what I've heard from other musicians and producers, it's worth every bit of the hype.

Spectrasonics always seem to have had a keen eye on putting together solutions which had more staying power than many of the VST's we see released nowadays. Where many other manufacturers just try to capitalize on the work of others, not really bringing anything new to the scene, every Spectrasonics

release has come with a wealth of options, and content worth several Gigs which in itself served for a good contrast to other VST's. I still use Stylus RMX and it's one of the most powerful drum machines out there as far as I'm concerned. It can be used a simple drum machine with 8 outputs, or you can use it to play drum loops, which are loaded into the program in slice forms that give the musician the ability to drag drum loops, consisting of slices straight into the midi  arrange area. This has proven to be one of the many intuitive concepts spectrasonics brings to the table. With every instrument they create, it seems they're also creating new ways of doing things and I hope Omnisphere isn't any exception to this.
